The shell man (13) receives the passing-box at the scuttle and passing a cartridge to the loader (5), who places it in muzzle. The loader then passes the rammer-head and sections to the sponger (3) and assists him to ram the cartridge home. The gun captain seals the vent, and four members of the gun team (9,11, 13, and 15] hoist up the shell and offer it to muzzle. The sponger and loader (3 and 5] enter the shell in the muzzle. The loader removes the patch which is passed to the gun captain. The loader and sponger ram home the shell by sections as before.
